27 Second Poem
Black photos
my mother as a child
I can see why
she loved my father
toes sticking out of his sandal
he doesn't know
about me
being his future
I can see how
time can parish
slip away from us
slide away
under the tightest grips
I wonder who you are
driving daddy's car
you'll never know the strife
of paying for your life
walk into the Gap
sit on mommy's lap
swipe her credit card
that wasn't that hard
Cherish
time
before you fuck up and
lose me
in attic photographs
